i dont think im going to school in the fall.
my sister in law asked me if i would want to hike across spain with her this fall. at first i wasnt sure if id be able to just because of school and staying on my moms insurance and such. but i guess my mom told my sister in law that if i wanted to do it that i could as long as i promised to go back to school in the winter semester and found a way to pay for it. i have money in the bank to help pay for it, but its just whether or not i want to use that money. including gear, food, and transportation the trip will cost about $1500-$2000. its just that im so unsure of if i wanna use that money for the trip. its stupid but i hate spending the money in my savings account just cos its from my dad when he died..and im stupid and hold on to anything that has to do with him.
but at the same time hiking spain would be another connection to my dad. since he lived there for 2 years while he was in high school and cos he took us there when i was 9. ive always wanted to go back to spain. i was so young when we went that i didnt really get to create as many memories as i wish i would have.
the way weve maped it out we would walk a minimum of 3 miles per hour and for 7 hours a day. weve estimated it to take about 5 weeks.
the 5 weeks is the part that kills me. 5 weeks without my mom. 5 weeks without my friends. a 5 week break from everything. 5 weeks to grow.5 weeks to possibly break my co-dependant personality. 5 weeks of an amazing experience.
i really want to do this..but im scared to.
why am i so afraid of this?
